The watch fair of Bâle has revealed some beautiful surprises this year with the new watch from Dior, from the Chiffre Rouge collection, the C03 38 mm Moon Phase in a limited edition of 100 pieces.

Launched nearly ten years ago, Dior’s Chiffre Rouge watch line introduced the first watch models with simple as well as automatic calibration. It wasn’t the first time that the brand launched a watch line. Already in 1957, Christian Dior imagined more Haute-Couture dials, feeling that the fashion of watch jewelry would become a permanent trend. In 2003, the brand launched its first jewelry watch collection, D of Dior. One year after the men’s line Chiffre Rouge.

The 38mm C03 Moon Phase is the youngest of the collection of Haute-Couture watches. From the LVMH group’s Zénith factory, the new compilation of timepieces, based on the Zenith Elite 691 automatic caliber movement, has a power reserve of 50 hours and water resistance up to 50 meters. Around the face, the watch measures seconds at the nine while the days are measured in red at the two. It also follows the cycle of the Moon showing the different phases in six hours, giving the customer more and more luxury. Featuring a sleek silhouette worthy of the tuxedos imagined by Hedi Slimane for Dior Homme, the style of this watch calls for elegance in all detention. The watch is of a unisex and minimalistic design, with a steel case of reasonable dimensions and black crocodile leather that add a slight hint of rock throughout the timepiece. With only 100 copies produced, the 38mm C03 watch is for those who want to dress up their eveningwear with a touch of highly sophisticated chic simplicity.
