The World of Queen
The World of Queen
Location : Palais des Congrès Paris
Date : 15 Octobre 2021
Price : €41
On November 24, 1991, Freddie Mercury left us. It was the end of a huge rock band and the beginning of a myth. Freddie’s prowess and stage presence left a strong impression on Fred Caramia, a rock singer and songwriter, a passionate lyricist, guitarist and pianist. In 2006, he decided to create a tribute to the late legend with his brother Alexandre, himself a drummer and singer.
The 2020-2021 tour “The World Of Queen starring Fred Caramia” keeps the spirit of Queen’s concerts and offers a show that is both vibrant and explosive, while at the same time giving pride of place to the voices. The staging, orchestrated by Alex Caramia, underlined by special effects and videos chosen for their reference to pieces of Freddie Mercury’s life, make this a show that is at once moving, modern and perfectly exceptional. Specific to “The World Of Queen starring Fred Caramia”: the participation on some dates of the 2020 Tour of the soprano Claire Lairy who interprets with Fred Caramia titles such as Barcelona and Guide me Home… unique moments during which time suspends its flight With our artists, you’ll be amazed, full of ears and full of heart… and you won’t want it to stop.

Edmond Rostand is not yet thirty but already has two children and a lot of anxiety. He has not written anything for two years. So, in despair, he proposes to the great Constant Coquelin a new play, a heroic comedy, in verse, for the holidays. The only problem was that it had not yet been written. Ignoring the whims of the actresses, the demands of his Corsican producers, the jealousy of his wife, the love affair of his best friend and the lack of enthusiasm of everyone around him, Edmond starts writing this play that nobody believes in. For the moment, he only has the title: Cyrano de Bergerac.

Full price: 14€
Reduced price: 10€Following “Ten Thousand Years of Luxury”, organised together with the Louvre Abu Dhabi in 2019, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs presents “Luxes”. The exhibition offers a journey through time and geography, combining moments of contemplation and more monumental scans, offering each of the 100 works presented the most relevant space for delectation and understanding. The chronological and thematic tour opens up two emblematic places that are usually closed to visitors: the Salon 1900, a living memory of the Paris Universal Exhibition, a museum commission to celebrate Art Nouveau and the French decorative arts, and the Salon des Boiseries, revealing other masterpieces of European decoration, including an incredible chandelier by Venini exhibited in Paris in 1925, a spacious room in which to read and dream, taking time to enjoy the Tuileries and the rhythm of the city. Sensitive and encyclopaedic, selective and historical, the exhibition thus offers, for the first time in Paris and at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs, an insight into luxury for the contemporary world. The scenography was entrusted to Nathalie Crinière and her agency, with the exceptional participation of the European Confederation of Flax.

This is the first exhibition to show a chapter of Magritte’s work that is still largely unknown. It allows us to compare Magritte’s works with those of Auguste Renoir, who inspired him.The exhibition brings together some sixty paintings and forty drawings. It opens with some works from the late 1930s in which Magritte expresses the imminence of war and disaster. The paintings from Magritte’s “Renoir” period are compared with masterpieces by Renoir, contemporary paintings by Picabia and other pieces that allow us to sketch out a posterity for this little-known production.Exhibition organized by the Orsay and Orangery museums, Paris with the exceptional collaboration of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium.
