Only four blends have preceded this new edition, each testifying to the creative freedom and exceptional craftsmanship of Renaud Fillioux de Gironde. These cognacs are single batch productions, reflecting a rarity and innovation in the world of spirits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And this Master Blender\u2019s Selection No. 5 highlights the work of 18 distillers, exclusive partners of Hennessy. Their role is crucial in capturing the aromas of the wines and concentrating them in a selection of eaux-de-vie carefully chosen for their distinctive qualities. &#8220;I wanted to pay tribute to the artisans, the exclusive distillers of the House of Hennessy, who provide us, year after year, with eaux-de-vie characterized by their purity, finesse, and remarkable potential. The eaux-de-vie selected by the Master Blender have aged for at least seven years in French oak barrels, bringing exceptional aromatic complexity. Renaud Fillioux de Gironde has carefully blended these eaux-de-vie to merge their unique characters and personalities, thus creating a singular cognac.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The result? A sensory journey distilled into a cognac of great aromatic richness. On the nose, notes of spices and candied orange unfold, while on the palate, smoothness reveals pastry notes of cocoa and mild spices, followed by hints of light tobacco and candied orange. This cognac can be enjoyed neat or on the rocks, allowing for full appreciation of its complexity and depth&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For Renaud Fillioux de Gironde, this edition is a celebration of heritage and the transmission of expertise. &#8220;It is an honor to be the 8th generation of Master Blenders, and I feel privileged to perpetuate this craft passed down to me by my uncle, Yann Fillioux. With the Master Blender\u2019s Selection No. 5, I opted for a contemporary blend, created in a single batch that will never be reproduced, a limited edition that celebrates the collaborative spirit and expertise in the world of cognac,&#8221; he confides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To perfect the experience, the Master Blender\u2019s Selection No. 5 will be available exclusively at the Hennessy Boutique in Cognac starting May 2.
