Historic ambassador of Le Coq Sportif, Arthur Ashe is a tennis player who quickly captured the audience with his game and his elegance alike. The athlete went down in history in 1968 after winning the US Open. Several decades later, he became the mentor of one Yanick Noah. It was only natural then for Le Coq to produce its ultra-expensive shoe in France, more precisely in the town of Romans-sur-Is\u00e8re, capital of luxury shoemaking and renowned for its savoir-faire and leatherworking. There, exceptional full grain leather is chosen with care. This utmost quality hide comes from Les Tanneries Roux, renowned for providing materials to the greatest haute couture houses. Then, in the ateliers of the Archer group, the sneakers are hand-assembled.<\/div>\n<div>The result? A collaboration. Le Coq Sportif x Colette in a blue and white braided leather version, just like the store\u2019s colors. The logo finds itself engraved on the exterior of the tongue, a minute little treat. With only 55 pairs in circulation, it\u2019s exclusively available at Colette. Then, it\u2019s the all-white Arthur Ashe\u2019s turn to make an entrance. This style, with 136 pairs in circulation, is elegant and minimalist, made of white full grain leather. Only the logo, the exterior rubber sole, and the interior lining are made of a natural-colored premium leather finish. The tricolor edging, Le Coq\u2019s seal, is present on the tongue. These two exceptionally stylish versions will be sold in a wooden box, stamped with the logos of the brand as well as the Parisian boutique.
