That same year, the American fashion house released a collection of sports clothes for women: a line that wasn\u2019t exactly athletic, but rather athletic chic. Everything resided in a fastidious conception where the fabrics became voluptuous. The line was so delicate that the sumptuous department stores Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue decided to pick it up. The collection would become a Holy Grail for jet-setters; in 1999, Michael Kors received the prestigious CFDA prize.
