A few days ago, Alpine fans met in Dieppe for the largest gathering of models from the Normandy firm: “1,000 Alpines for the 100 years of Jean R\u00e9d\u00e9l\u00e9”.<\/p>\n\n

The event was held to celebrate the 100th<\/sup>birthday of Alpine’s founder, Jean R\u00e9d\u00e9l\u00e9. He founded Alpine<\/a> in 1955, a name chosen in reference to his successes on the roads of the Alps during his numerous races. In 1962, the very first Alpine A110 was launched at the Paris Motor Show.<\/p>\n\n

Three years after the car’s presentation, a partnership is signed with Renault, so that the Berlinette can be distributed within the network. It was the beginning of a great and beautiful adventure for Alpine. After a few years in oblivion, the brand made its big comeback in 2017, with a brand new generation of the A110.<\/p>\n\n

The enthusiasts and owners of the various Alpine models gathered for a big party, full of surprises, including the presentation of the model that interests us today. A presentation with great pomp as the newcomer was escorted by a Formula 1 car and presented by Laurent Rossi, CEO of Alpine.<\/p>\n\n

Based on the restyled A110 GT, this special series is distinguished by a specific livery, namely Montebello grey and a black roof. A choice that was not left to chance, since it is quite simply Jean R\u00e9d\u00e9l\u00e9’s favourite colour, which was used in the very first Alpine. Black diamond-polished 18-inch Grand Prix wheels complete the package, as do chrome brake calipers.<\/p>\n\n

Inside, this special series receives a specific pedal set as well as a numbered plaque and Sabelt seats in black leather with grey stitching. Apart from these few elements, nothing changes on this Alpine A110 GT “Jean R\u00e9d\u00e9l\u00e9”, which keeps its technical sheet. The car is powered by a 1.8-litre TCe four-cylinder engine developing 300 hp and 340 Nm of torque. 0 to 100 km\/h is achieved in 4.2 seconds.<\/p>\n\n

Only 100 copies were sold, one of which was given to Michelle R\u00e9d\u00e9l\u00e9, the wife of the former pilot. Orders will open on 1st <\/sup>June. This special series will cost 83,000 euros<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
