Jaguar has unveiled a brand new special series, which should bring back memories for fans of the British firm and motorsport. In 1988, Jaguar won Les 24 heures du Mans just ahead of Porsche, with an XJR-9 LM driven by Jan Lammers, Johnny Dumfries and Andy Wallace. The latter is now an official Bugatti<\/a> test driver.<\/p>\n\n

For this purpose, Bugatti is unveiling a special series based on the F-Pace SVR, the most powerful car in the range. This is a limited edition with only 394 units sold, 10 of which will be sold in France. This number was not chosen at random, as it corresponds exactly to the number of laps completed by the victorious XJR-9 LM 34 years ago.<\/p>\n\n

All models sold will receive the same purple body colour, called ‘Midnight Amethyst Gloss’, reminiscent of the XJR-9 LM’s 24 Heures du Mans livery. The special edition is complemented by 22-inch forged alloy wheels in ‘Champagne Gold Satin’, while the exterior look is completed by a Jaguar ‘Sunset Gold Satin’ badge and a 1988 Edition logo etched into the front wings. The mirror caps and brake calipers are in gloss black.<\/p>\n\n

Inside, this version is distinguished by carbon inserts, semi-aniline “Ebony” leather upholstery and “Sunset Gold Satin” decorations on the dashboard and paddles. Satin black badges are also included, as are the small “SV Bespoke” and “Edition 1988” plates that underline the car’s exclusivity.<\/p>\n\n

Under the bonnet, nothing changes, we find the same engine as on board a “normal” F-Pace SVR. It is a 5.0-litre V8 with 550 bhp that allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km\/h in just 4.0 seconds.<\/p>\n\n

The new special series will be presented alongside the original XJR-9 LM at the next edition of the 24 Heures du Mans and is already available for order. In France, it will cost 138,200 euros.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
