In 2009, Porsche presented the 997 Sport Classic, a model that was visually inspired by the original 911<\/a> (1964-1973) and the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 (1972). This model is back to the front stage in 2022 with the 992 generation of Sport Classic, which is one of the four collectibles from the Heritage Design range. <\/p>\n\n

Porsche will launch a total of four small series, in several stages and in a limited number. The first model was the 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition.<\/a> Premiered in 2020, it took on the style of the 1950s and 1960s. <\/p>\n\n

Unlike the 997 Sport Classic which was based on a GTS version, this new version is based on a 911 Turbo. Its bodywork is wide; indeed, we can find a rear wing like a duck tail and a double boss roof. <\/p>\n\n

The designers were inspired by the fashionable grey of the first Porsche 356 to create the exclusive paint of this series. As an alternative to grey, the new 911 Sport Classic is also available in the colors black, agate grey metallic and gentian blue metallic. The double stripes painted on the front hood, the roof and the rear spoiler in a light sport grey shade underline the sporty aspect.<\/p>\n\n

Under the hood, we find the famous flat-six 3.8-litre twin-turbo that develops 550 horsepower. It is only associated with a seven-speed manual transmission The transmission is equipped with an automated heel\/tip function that compensates for differences in speed at the downshift with targeted throttle strokes. <\/p>\n\n

Derived from the Turbo and GTS, the chassis incorporates the standard PASM (Porsche Active Suspension Management), the sport chassis and a ten-millimeter drop. <\/p>\n\n

The 911 Sport Classic will be produced in limited quantities of only 1250 items. That\u2019s still 1,000 more than the previous generation of 997 Sport Classic.
