The BMW 7 Series is the flagship of the BMW sedan range. After six generations, the seventh marks a turning point in the brand\u2019s history. Indeed, for the first time, the 7 Series turns electric. Don\u2019t call it 7 Series, but BMW i7.<\/p>\n\n

Don\u2019t worry, the 7 Series<\/a> still lives on, since several thermal and plug-in hybrid engines are available in the catalogue. They will arrive in spring 2023 and, like the i7, they will be equipped with fifth-generation BMW eDrive technology. They will possess an autonomy between 80 and 90 km.<\/p>\n\n

The BMW M760e xDrive is the most powerful plug-in hybrid and it features a 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder engine, coupled with an electric motor, for a combined power of 571 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. Same engine for the BMW 750e, but with 490 horsepower and 700 Nm of torque A micro-hybrid diesel variant is also available with a 300 horsepower, 650 Nm torque, 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine.<\/p>\n\n

But the most interesting novelty is the i7, available next November. It is powered by two electric motors delivering 544 hp and 745 Nm of torque. The battery has a capacity of 101.7 kWh, and therefore offers an autonomy between 590 and 625 km according to the WLTP cycle. In 2023, a second version will support the catalog with the BMW i7 M70 xDrive. It will develop no less than 660 hp and 1000 Nm of torque. Technological showcase of the brand since 1977 and the first generation of the 7 Series, this new version marks a new turning point in the very divisive style of BMW.<\/p>\n\n

The design is massive and the lines very vertical. The imposing grille is still in play, while the new light signature with split optics is appearing. The car is 5.39 metres long, 1.95 metres wide and 1.53 metres high.<\/p>\n\n

The interior is simply astonishing, especially at the rear. Amenities are the subject of the greatest attention, starting with the presence of reclining seats with built-in footrests. In addition, the BMW Theatre Screen transforms the rear into a private cinema with a 31.3-inch touchscreen with 8K resolution, Amazon Prime Video, and a Bowers & Wilkins audio system with 36 speakers.<\/p>\n\n
