The automobile and the art world have often been associated. The automobile and the art world have often been associated. The \u201cart cars\u201d, in other words unique models that puts under the spot an artist through a specific shade or particular forms, are quite often presented by the constructers.<\/p>\n\n

One of the latest ones is the Alpine A110<\/a> Sastruga, which was unveiled at the Grand Palais \u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8re. Alpine and the artistic group Obvious presented the fruit of their artistic collaboration: an \u201cart car\u201d that explores the creative potential of artificial intelligence and algorithms.<\/p>\n\n

Alpine took part in the Art Paris 2022<\/a> event, the modern and contemporary art event, alongsideObvious<\/a>. This is the second consecutive year that the tricolor firm presents a model at this event.<\/p>\n\n

Obvious was inspired by the brand\u2019s sporting heritage to create a unique item that materializes an imaginary race, a synthesis of all the racetracks on which Alpine distinguished itself.<\/p>\n\n

Presented on the bodywork of the A110, an imaginary racetrack, generated by artificial intelligence, was drawn. The drawing is inspired by the phenomenon of sastrugas: undulations created by the saltation of snow under the action of the wind that traces geometrical undulations on the ground. This phenomenon echoes Alpine\u2019s DNA and represents the creative basis of this project. At the back, we can find a mathematical formula representing the algorithm that the group used to generate the racing circuit.<\/p>\n\n

To make this pattern, the artists drew inspiration on the racetracks that have marked the history of the brand, namely Le Mans, Paul Ricard, Pedralbes, Pescara, Montju\u00efc, Monsanto, Magny-Cours, Long Beach, Losail, and Kyalami.<\/p>\n\n

\u201cThis work is the outcome of a long creative process in which we sought to imagine a unique item that communicates technology and sportsmanship, by drawing on the heritage of this historic brand.
