 The sixty five models presented themselves with light spontaneity, descending the steps of a staircase reminiscent of the one on the rue Cambon, making you completely forgot the context. This collection is once more a brilliant reinterpretation of the identity of the Chanel brand and their special universe. The casualness of a streetwear look – sneakers stamped with the CC logo – evokes the original style of the couturi\u00e8re who liked to wear jersey fabric and fluid cuts. The genius of the German designer and his ability to transcribe the uniqueness of his fashion house is adeptly conveyed in this runway show.<\/p>\n

Chanel\u2019s identity is constantly evoked, from the use of tweed to the pearly reflections of organza – an allusion to Mademoiselle Chanel\u2019s pearls<\/a> – and the graphic contrast of black and white on a suit for good measure; Lagerfeld definitely knows how to sensually wield Chanel\u2019s vocabulary. The cornerstone element that the brand took care to put front and center is the illustrious tweed suit. Revisited and modernized with rounder cuts that highlight a waist marked by an elastic corset, the Chanel tweed suit is living out its second youth. A skirt and a jacket were the main ingredients of the entire runway show. The Chanel suit, a symbol of French elegance ever since its invention in 1913, is redesigned so that its lines become softer. This ensemble of pieces, that once revolutionized the female wardrobe and continues to do so today, bears a message. Karl Lagerfeld\u2019s suit is the uniform of choice for rebellious and modern women. The chromatic ensemble chosen for the collection exudes an elegant freshness, the citrus yellows and icier tones mixing with silvery panache in a pre-summer and avant-garde ambiance. Chanel\u2019s ateliers are continuing to sculpt the myth behind the fashion house.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
