For the A\/W 2022 Fendi Collection, Kim Jones drew from two key Karl Lagerfeld collections as the starting point of this collection. A collection that also celebrated the 25th anniversary of the iconic Baguette bag!<\/p>\n\n

Fendi A\/W 2022: 25 years of the Baguette bag<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Kim Jones was inspired by Karl Lagerfeld\u2019s timeless Fendi designs for the Autumn\/Winter 2022 collection, which all started with Delfine Delettrez, Silvia Venturini Fendi\u2019s daughter.<\/p>\n\n

While in the Rome Fendi office, Kim Jones was intrigued by the blouse Delfina Delettrez, who also designs Fendi jewellery, was wearing. This signature Fendi blouse was from the 1986 Fendi collection designed by Karl Lagerfeld based on the Memphis art movement.<\/p>\n\n

The current Fendi artistic director had another idea of combining this blouse with yet another one of Karl Lagerfeld\u2019s iconic collections, a Fendi collection that explored silk chiffon from 2000. However, far from being nostalgic, Kim Jones opted to change the colour, the print and lessen the typical 80s proportions to let the muslin and the central shades of the Memphis dress the Fendi women in an airy and sensual quality.<\/p>\n\n

However, the key event of this Autumn\/Winter 2022 Fendi show was the celebration of the Baguette bag\u2019s 25th anniversary. This is Fendi\u2019s most sought after bag which was made famous by the Sex and the City seriesand has been reinvented into countless iconic versions.<\/p>\n\n

A Baguette bag, whose name echoes the way it is worn under the shoulder, in cashmere, shearling-lined leather and intarsia mink renditions. This bag also displays the timeless signatures and style of this Italian house.<\/p>\n\n
