\u201cI wanted to do something deliciously sleazy. My life\u2019s work has always been a reaction to intolerance. Intolerance is such a corny word, but I grew up with such judgement in my life as a flamboyant young sissy that my whole life\u2019s work has been about counterbalancing that bigoted attitude.\u201d With pieces once again created to express individuality rather than showcasing the Rick Owens man \u2014 the multi-award-winning designer opens Fall\/Winter 2022 season with a look he calls \u201cglamasleazy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

Merging glamour, dark romance and a hint of rebellion together, the Rick Owens collection, mainly in this black color that was essential to its creation, reflects masculinity. During the press release, the designer explained that he first cut oversized shoulders as a parody of masculinity, before realizing that he enjoyed wearing them as \u201can excuse to take up more space around me\u201d. Meta-clothes designed to accentuate the personality of the wearer to some extent…<\/p>\n\n
