Gommino Tod\u2019s: Enhanced pebbles<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n

Walter Chiapponi takes the Tod\u2019s wardrobe back to the 70s in the highly anticipated encounter between contemporary art and the traditional heritage<\/a> of this Italian house. The collection which was showcased through a video<\/a> shot in the heart of Castello di Rivoli, the location of the Turin Museum of Contemporary Art, outlines the new vision of Tod\u2019s craftsmanship.<\/p>\n\n

Known for their exquisite and sophisticated leathercraft, Tod\u2019s focuses its know-how into silhouettes in which cool meets refined high-quality materials. In the words of Walter Chiaponni, \u201cI like to work on style stereotypes, almost undermining them with a sense style of luxury\u201d.<\/p>\n\n

It\u2019s true that when you see the slightly sportier cuts associated with refined leather and wools, you think that Tod\u2019s men are just playing with the classics to then deviate from them.<\/p>\n\n

Speaking of which, it is the iconic Gommino which has been revived to have 133 accentuated pebbles<\/a>. Named the Winter Gommino, the Autumn\/Winter 2022 collection presented this version in ecru suede, with enhanced rubber pebbles to better make its mark in today\u2019s era. Cooler and a little edgier, the Gommino is rebellious, while demonstrating the timelessness of Tod\u2019s know-how. <\/p>\n\n
