It is inspired by women that surrounded the founder- designer: Dior\u2019s sister, Catherine that inspired the name Miss Dior, Mizza Bricard who was his muse and Marguerite Carr\u00e9 who was responsible for Dior\u2019s ideas coming true. Dior\u2019s sister, Catherine that inspired the name <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icon-icon.com\/le-miss-dior-parfum-doptimisme-et-feminite\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Miss Dior<\/a>, Mizza Bricard who was his muse and Marguerite Carr\u00e9 who was responsible for Dior\u2019s ideas coming true.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And it is the very biography of Christian Dior that inspired Maria Grazia Chiuri to make a wardrobe somewhat different than usual ultra-feminine vision of Dior couture. She says:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe first thing that struck me was reading his autobiography <em>Dior and Me<\/em>He seemed to use more nuanced narration than the monolithic mythology that was incorporated into his posthumous story. He could make a stern gray suit or the Miss Dior couture dress full of flowers. The statement of intent elaborates on that: Maria Grazia Chiuri is interested in school outfits but especially the way students get rid of formal character of their clothes; they personalize it with little punk-like elements, the search of freedom in urban landscape.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The result? <a href=\"https:\/\/www.icon-icon.com\/le-gris-trianon-couleur-cle-de-la-maison-dior\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dior Gray,<\/a> the gray color chosen by Dior himself to decorate the rooms of his maison de couture, is present in many of the precisely cut pieces.
