By exploring its inspirational roots in decorative arts of the 60s, the label is revisiting its history to reinvent itself by interpreting the codes that gave it its renown in a contemporary way: refinement, a pointed sense of detail, and artisanal tradition. In place of a new creative director, Sergio Rossi has appointed Angelo Riggeri as their new \u201cdirector of creation\u201d. By applying Rossi\u2019s DNA to the eclecticism that defined his work in years past, he\u2019s thought up a multiform collection where pure figures take on a new breadth through different combinations of shapes, materials, and colors. The result: sculptural sandals and boots made of natural elements, where bamboo contrasts with metallic details or stingray leather.<\/div>\n
It\u2019s an exercise in style made of compositions of lines, curves, and lively geometric shapes that, dressed up with contrasts, balance each other in perfect harmony. Released with two underlying themes borrowed from Angelo Riggeri\u2019s aesthetics, the collection depicts the richness of the organic world through a kaleidoscope – a way to achieve surprising shapes and reflections. The best representation of this are their impressive sandals adorned with \u201ccreeper vines\u201d, like ombrag\u00e9 ferns decked out with rhinestones that delicately enclose the heel in a suspension with no underlying support. These sculptural shoes alone sum up the concept of shoemaking savoir-faire: dressing up the feet in a dazzling way.
