Every year in November, the committee makes its final decision &#8211; the most breathtaking and ingenious creations are thus honored along with the most influential actors in the watchmaking universe. Leading up to the final decision, the GPHG brings the pre-selected watches to the four corners of the Earth for a traveling exhibit &#8211; in Seoul, Rome, Dubai, and Geneva, audiences were able to discover and admire the finest pieces in contemporary watchmaking.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif\">On November 8, the Grand Prix d\u2019Horlogerie de Gen\u00e8ve was awarded to&nbsp;Chanel&nbsp;for the fourth time. The Premi\u00e8re Squelette Cam\u00e9lia Calibre 2 took the precious trophy in the women\u2019s category. For the 30th anniversary of the Premi\u00e8re watch,&nbsp;Chanel&nbsp;did indeed push the limits of its watchmaking vision. The Premi\u00e8re Squelette Cam\u00e9lia is an exceptional piece brought to life by&nbsp;Chanel\u2019s second movement, the Calibre 2. Its most unique feature is that an airy geometry depicts a camellia.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif\">Imagined by the brand\u2019s Studio de Cr\u00e9ation Horlogerie on the Place Vend\u00f4me, the Calibre 2 was conceived with a complexity that allows different mechanisms to superimpose themselves, leaving only the camellia flower visible in three dimensions. Made in an absolute black, the skeleton movement gives life to one of&nbsp;Chanel\u2019s lucky charms.
