After getting her start at Balenciaga and Louis Vuitton in the Nicolas Ghesqui\u00e8re era, now Natacha Ramsay-Levi is giving us an exquisitely sensual collection for Spring\/Summer 2018. The Chlo\u00e9 woman is stepping out in a demanding, on-point but joyful wardrobe &#8211; pants, jackets, skirts, dresses, and suits all have an aura that\u2019s bubbling with creativity and inspiration.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif\">\u201cChlo\u00e9\u2019s girls have a suave mixture of sophistication and humility; they\u2019re timeless but never conventional,\u201d explains Ramsay-Levi in the runway\u2019s companion booklet. All while remaining loyal to the independent mind and cerebral look imagined by founder Gaby Aghion, then ew creative director created the key piece for this wardrobe in the folk print jabot dress. Her approach was indeed a tad different. Instead of imposing her own vision, Ramsay-Levi dug into the archives for her predecessors\u2019 stylistic leanings.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\"><span style=\"font-size:14px\"><span style=\"font-family:lucida sans unicode,lucida grande,sans-serif\">From the Karl Lagerfeld era came the idea for printed dresses &#8211; but hers is made in a solid cotton and not silk. The print also digs into the founder\u2019s surrealism with hands and funny eyes. She takes lightness and the sensuality of micro-floral prints from Clare Waight Keller, like the ones distinguished here. There were indeed many pieces to love in this Spring\/Summer 2018 collection.The next Chlo\u00e9 it-shoes showed up on Hayett McCarthy\u2019s feet: a highly desirable pair of python boots.
