For London Fashion Week, Burberry presented its much-awaited see-now\/buy-now runway. Taking over the Old Sessions House, a prison that\u2019s been closed to the public for over a century, the label decided to go back to the very essence of Great Britain: a carefully disrupted style. Within this fashion made of textures, colors, and silhouettes that are sure to surprise the eye, Christopher Bailey uses archetypes and looks as portraits of British eclecticism. On September 16, Burberry tradition came together with the boldness of the streets.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n With a colorful cast of stars and icons, from Kate Moss to Naomi Campbell, the runway introduced a hodgepodge of stylistic outings: waterproof plastic, very common in the British capital, melts into the structure of a luxurious trench coat here, while bright shades take on the famous English tartan. But the piece that captures the spirit of this collection is inevitably the fun trench coat – made of tropical gabardine that was woven in England. A classic piece in Great Britain\u2019s history, the trench flirts with British humor as well.
