One family would preserve the name Eristhavi; just like the majority of noble houses of the era, this family produced its own vodka, a symbol of their hospitality offered to guests that would stay in or visit their abode. In the 11th century, the Northwest province of Racha, where the Eristoff family originally heralds from, was called \u201cVirshan\u201d, which means \u201cLand of the Wolves\u201d. This would soon take on a whole new meaning: the brand\u2019s seal is a wolf underneath a moon, representing the Persian name for Georgia: Virshan, or \u201cLand of the Wolves\u201d.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size:16px;\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif;\">The recipe for Eristoff vodka has remained a family secret, naturally passed down from generation to generation.
