The artist imagined a living canvas featuring, in addition to the brand\u2019s historic artisan Toni Ripani in a white blouse, an array of models including one of the most \u201cin\u201d top models of the moment: Karlie Kloss. As if set in stone, the models were dressed in strips of leather that were assembled by the brand\u2019s historic artisans, straight from the Tod\u2019s factory in the Marche region of Italy.<\/div>\n<div>Through this piece, Vanessa Beecroft and Tod\u2019s wanted to celebrate a triptych that\u2019s near and dear to the brand\u2019s heart: art, Italian origin, and artisanal craftsmanship, without forgetting a glamour that\u2019s here incarnated by Karlie Kloss. Nonchalant but graphic nonetheless, the collection works with leather on perfecto jackets, trench coats, and dresses perfected by unexpected accessories.<\/div>\n<div>Within a minimalist but iconic style, the Tod\u2019s&nbsp;<em>Gommino&nbsp;<\/em>was also imagined in new dimensions. Multi-functional and more sensual, the Winter 2017&nbsp;<em>Gommino&nbsp;<\/em>becomes more versatile without turning its back on tradition. A tad more contemporary, with couture style and a double chain, it\u2019s future now looks brighter than ever. Paired with skirts cut in leather and playing with pleats and metallic details, the accessory couldn\u2019t have found a better way to be put in perspective.
