A glass of whisky, the luminous suggestion of a flower, a cup of spiced tea at daybreak: perfume can bring distant worlds into conversation. For L\u2019Entropiste, that encounter is the starting point. In Dorian\u2019s Spleen, White Blood and Jodhpur 6AM, the French house explores three distinct expressions of contrast, with perfumer Bertrand Duchaufour giving each its own atmosphere and narrative.<\/p>\n

Established in February 2025 by Denis Bella\u00efche and Kris Fang, L\u2019Entropiste takes creative inspiration from the beauty of chaos. Natural ingredients and contemporary molecules meet in compositions that invite unexpected associations. The ambition finds a clear expression in these three fragrances: a smoky gourmand, an opalescent floral and a memory of India, connected by an interest in the possibilities of raw materials. Presented as genderless scents, they offer a collection to explore through personal affinities with accords and ingredients.<\/p>\n

Bertrand Duchaufour, from smoky gourmand to luminous floral<\/h2>\n

Dorian\u2019s Spleen begins with the warmth of a whisky accord. Coffee, caramel and dark chocolate give it a generous gourmand character, while tobacco, smoke and ash introduce deeper shades. The house evokes a dandy, a literary figure whose refinement provides the fragrance with its imaginative setting. Here, sweetness is accompanied by the darker textures of smoke: the pleasure lies in their interplay, in the meeting of familiar gourmand notes and a more atmospheric register.<\/p>\n

White Blood moves towards light. Black pepper, bergamot and starfruit lead into a floral heart of tiar\u00e9, lotus and rose, with vetiver, musk and ambergris forming the base. Its central image is an imaginary flower with opalescent petals. Whiteness becomes a meeting of colours, an impression assembled from fruit, spice and flowers. That idea gives the fruity floral a distinctive vocabulary, suggesting both luminosity and substance, and inviting a closer look at the many nuances contained within a bouquet.<\/p>\n

Jodhpur 6AM, a morning remembered through scent<\/h2>\n

For Jodhpur 6AM, the scene shifts to India at dawn. Ginger and cardamom bring their spice to black tea and a warm milk accord. Apricot supplies a fruity accent, while Indian tuberose adds its floral presence. The inspiration is a moment of arrival: a cup of chai offered as a flower market begins to wake and the first light reaches the city. Duchaufour draws these impressions together in a fragrance that connects the comfort of tea with the abundance of flowers.<\/p>\n

Across the trio, ingredients do more than identify an olfactory family. They establish a character, evoke a place or give shape to an image. Whisky and tiar\u00e9, coffee and tuberose become elements in a broader conversation about composition.
