By reviving its nearly centennial tradition today, the manufacturer is paying homage to the first Imperial Faberg\u00e9 Egg ever made. To do this, the illustrious jeweler has conceived a truly extraordinary good in collaboration with one of the most renowned collectors of our time, the Al-Fardan family. The pearls that went into its fabrication are also a continuation of an ancestral procedure. Indeed, for thousands of years the most precious and desirable pearls have been harvested in the Persian Gulf, the Red Sea, the Gulf of Manaar in Southeast Asia&#8230; The Al-Fardan family is one of the most ancient pearl merchants in the Gulf. And today, Faberg\u00e9 is delighted to f\u00eate these jewels of the sea, captured by the most gifted artisans of their generation in the Faberg\u00e9 Pearl Egg.<\/div>\n<div>The Pearl Egg is inspired by the formation of a pearl inside the oyster that houses it. And so, when you minutely pull on the thread wrapped around its exterior, the egg opens up to reveal a 12.17 carat grey pearl. This delicious specimen hails from the Persian Gulf, eliciting an unparalleled fascination thanks to its unusual grey color. The object takes shape through 139 fine and sumptuous white pearls with a touch of gold, 3,305 diamonds and sculpted rock crystals, all set onto white and yellow gold. Each pearl that adorns the egg was hand-selected by Ibrahim Al-Hussein Fardan himself &#8211; from his own private collection.
