M\u00e9lanie de Jesus dos Santos, a 24-year-old gymnast and ambassador of Dior, is a rising star of French gymnastics. Enzo Lefort, a 32-year-old fencer with multiple medals, and Antoine Dupont, a member of the French Olympic rugby sevens team, also join the LVMH family with Louis Vuitton.<\/p>\n\n\n

But perhaps it is with the reinvention of its iconic trunks that Louis Vuitton has demonstrated its expertise in protecting and showcasing the emblematic objects of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Firstly, the Medal Trunks, designed to house the medals crafted by Chaumet, and the Torch Trunks, which transported the Olympic Torch across France. These trunks are, of course, covered in the iconic Monogram and Damier canvases, illustrating more than 170 years of expertise.<\/p>\n\n\n

Dior and Berluti at the Heart of the Artistic Performances of the Opening Ceremony<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
To enhance the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, the House of Dior has deployed all its exceptional savoir-faire by crafting costumes for five artistic scenes of the opening ceremony. Each piece, created in Dior\u2019s Parisian workshops, embodies the refinement and excellence that have characterized the house since 1946.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dressed by Dior, Lady Gaga performed \u201cMon truc en plumes,\u201d paying tribute to Zizi Jeanmaire and Roland Petit, iconic figures of the French artistic scene. Her ten dancers, also dressed by Dior, offered a dazzling performance on the Seine, celebrating the spirit of French cabaret and Dior\u2019s rich artistic tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n

Aya Nakamura and her six dancers, adorned in golden creations by Dior, illuminated the Pont des Arts. Each golden feather, meticulously applied by hand, evoked the Phoenix, a symbol of rebirth and majesty.<\/p>\n\n\n

Dior\u2019s most spectacular contribution was undoubtedly that of soprano Axelle Saint-Cirel, who performed La Marseillaise on the roof of the Grand Palais. Her dress, over 8 meters long, transformed from a tricolor flag into a textile work of art, surrounded by a choir of women on the Pont Alexandre III, also dressed by Dior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Juliette Armanet and pianist Sofiane Pamart wore unique creations integrating luminous technology by Clara Daguin, paying tribute to John Lennon with \u201cImagine.\u201d The finale, the highlight of this ceremony, saw C\u00e9line Dion shining brightly on the first floor of the Eiffel Tower, in a dress adorned with pearls and fringes, crafted with prodigious expertise by Dior.<\/p>\n\n\n

The opening ceremony also unveiled three impressive scenes showcasing the values of excellence and craftsmanship of Louis Vuitton. On the roofs of Louis Vuitton\u2019s headquarters at Pont Neuf, a masked relay runner revealed the making of the Medal Trunk, combining acrobatics and precision movements. This scene continued with a choreography along the Pont Neuf, up to the Monnaie de Paris, where the medals were carefully placed in their cases.<\/p>\n\n\n

For the opening ceremony, Berluti also dressed the French team athletes with custom-made outfits, embodying \u201c\u00e0 la fran\u00e7aise\u201d elegance. Inspired by tuxedos, the garments featured a \u201cFrench flag\u201d patina, and the men wore Shadow sneakers in national colors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first time, each medal is adorned with a fragment of original iron from the Eiffel Tower, symbolizing French heritage and Gustave Eiffel\u2019s audacity. This iron, produced in the forges of Lorraine, adds a unique historical and symbolic dimension to these medals!<\/p>\n\n\n
