Celebrated because of the success of their perfect creative equilibrium between accessories and ready-to-wear, Fendi, founded in 1925 by Ad\u00e8le and Eduardo Fendi, has become a must in the ultra-select fashion world.<\/div>\n<div>Their DNA imbued with traditional and familial know-how, creativity, and new technologies, the Fendi generation celebrated its 80 years of success in 2005. Working fur like fabric is for this family a veritable way to distinguish themselves from season to season: never-before-seen movements, new color schemes, and unheard of effects make up their final pieces, these true works of art that are always quick to be adopted.<\/div>\n<div>When Karl Lagerfeld joined the family in 1965, it was a real turning point. The save passion of the Italians for fur in the 70s and 80s would grace the grandest of runways, then become a fact of daily life for the rich and famous. Karl Lagerfeld, then creative director for Fendi, presented the first collection of Haute Couture furs in Rome in 1966. He also invented the double F, a timeless label that has ever since been synonymous with Fendi. Still bucking tradition and staying current, the Italian brand is bringing the Pequin, a striped print unique to Fendi, back into action for its 2013 Cruise collection.<\/div>\n<div>Proof that Fendi fur can coexist in any atmosphere, even in the fresh countryside of the Alps. It is worn by the most elegant, still in love with a time when fur was synonymous with wealth and distinction.
