These are the words that Christopher Bailey chose to evoke \u201cThe Britain<\/a>\u201d, a collection of timepieces from Burberry created for the brand’s 156th anniversary.<\/p>\n

In the footsteps of the iconic trench coat, created by Thomas Burberry in 1914 to meet the demands of his Majesty’s army, Christopher Bailey is taking a page out of the design house’s recipe for success to make the \u201ctrench watch\u201d part of the Burberry<\/a>tradition.<\/p>\n

Launched during the Fashion Week presentation of Burberry’s Spring\/Summer collection in their new Regent Street boutique in London, The Britain <\/em>has everything it will take to seduce men and women alike. In this collection of refined watches, the different styles boldly unite all the elegance and functionality characteristic of the famed trench coat that they’re all inspired by. From the D-ring shaped bezel to the color palette and all the attention to detail in between, Burberry is putting the same care into the creation of their watches as they did for the creation of their trench coats.<\/p>\n
