Tiffany & Co. By Pharrell Williams: The Tiffany Titan Collection

Tiffany & Co. continues to surprise the world of high jewelry by presenting new creations within the Tiffany Titan collection, conceived by Pharrell Williams. This collection, which echoes Poseidon’s trident, the God of the sea and king of Atlantis, explores new dimensions with the introduction of freshwater pearls over 11 mm, adorning necklaces, bracelets, rings, and earrings.

An inspiration that is anything but coincidental, Pharrell grew up in a residence named Atlantis, in Virginia Beach… He thus evokes his deep connection with water, a major source of inspiration for this collection. “Water is an element that attracts me a lot, and that’s what inspired this collection. The name Titan refers to Poseidon, God of the sea, king of Atlantis. In fact, in Virginia Beach, I grew up in a residence called Atlantis. When you know that according to a Japanese legend, pearls are the tears of mythical aquatic creatures, they were a natural choice to express this connection with water.”

The dialogue between strength and delicacy takes on new dimensions here. The first pieces unveiled a few weeks ago featured a blend of 18-carat yellow gold and black titanium, set with diamonds, embodying a subtle balance between tension and harmony. In this new iteration, freshwater pearls, combined with precisely set diamonds, bring a touch of softness to the powerful symbolism of the trident, an emblem of strength and self-assertion.

The heritage of Tiffany & Co. is omnipresent in this new collection, both through the materials used and the references to the signatures that have made the house famous. From the small pearl necklace given by Abraham Lincoln to his wife Mary Todd Lincoln in 1862, to the iconic “Bird on a Pearl” creations by Jean Schlumberger, pearls have always held a special place at Tiffany & Co. Today, this tradition is boldly reinterpreted in the Tiffany Titan collection.

To note in this collection that exudes Pharrell Williams’ style, two pieces: a necklace adorned with freshwater pearls, accompanied by diamonds totaling nearly 1 carat, and a bracelet where pearls are combined with more than 2 carats of diamonds. On these two jewels, 18-carat yellow gold spikes are interspersed between the pearls, creating a unique and striking aesthetic.

The technicality and artistic excellence of these creations thus reflect the quest for perfection that characterizes Tiffany & Co!
