Manolo Blahnik, “the magician of high heels” is pulling out all the stops by rereleasing his “Ossie” shoe. Initially conceived in 1971 for British designer Ossie Clark, these high-heeled sandals always take the cake at Blahnik’s runway shows. With the shoe’s rustic vibes, nature has never been so sexy. Green suede straps supported by small red discs become leaves softly falling into a pile of berries. Chic, towering, whimsical: a modern Garden of Eden.

This is the shoe that made Manolo Blahnik the King of high heels, the Grand Vizir of pumps, shoemaker of the Stars. Diane Von Furstenberg probably couldn’t count the number of pairs she owns on one hand. Paloma Picasso has pledged her allegiance to the designer since age 14. Madonna once said they were “as good as sex… except they last longer.” Need we even mention Carrie Bradshaw?

Blahnik is finally spilling the beans on his masterpiece “Manolo”s: “My shoes have something that others don’t: personality.”

The designer is also opening up about his past collaboration with British designer Ossie Clark. “He made incredible magic with the body and accomplished what fashion should: producing desire.” The King of high heels is now giving a nod to this fateful encounter by rereleasing 60 limited edition pairs of his Ossie shoes exclusively at the Printemps department store in Paris. Oooh là là!
