Just like Bottega Veneta, the Berlin-based manufacturer takes particular care to develop a refined and sensual sensitivity in line with tradition and innovation. Modesty, quality, and refinement: this is luxury according to Bottega Veneta, in the purest of artisanal traditions. Founded in Berlin and acquired by Frederic II of Prussia in 1763, KPM works porcelain in all of its purity and complex forms, particularly antique decorations with an immaculate white color. Their secret formula has remained just that. The resolutely personal tone of their scrupulous execution has been an integral part of the making of the iconic Knot clutch.
With all the grace of a chiseled jewel, this Bottega Veneta bag acquires all the grace of one of the most coveted of pieces. This tiny clutch bag’s bronze front piece is encrusted with a porcelain medallion that’s adorned with two cherubs and a delicate contrasting edging made of bronzed metal and brown zircons. It’s silhouette is tenderly raw. On either side, two porcelain badges are carved out in a purely Venetian style. The Knot’s clasp and periphery, also made of bronzed metal, are adorned with brick pearl studs topped off with gold flakes and are individually attached by hand, bringing precious gems to mind. Engraved by hand in an antique fashion, the medallion in the center is exclusively made for this brand that, just to mark the event, has already labeled and numbered each of its KPM clutches.
