Thin, elongated, and refined, the Nantucket first came out in 1991. The timepiece was imagined by Henri d’Origny, creative director for Hermès. Equipped with an elongated case where the legendary anchor chain motif makes an appearance, the Nantucket has also been made into a mini version, resulting from the brand’s desire that the design be square. But at Hermès, no shape is fixed, and art often serves as a pretext for creating an exceptional timepiece.

That’s how the Nantucket is able to draw elegant lines around the wrist; this tiny style highlights the original design’s silhouette even more. Available in steel or diamond encrusted rose gold just for this March’s Baselworld, the watch is composed around a silver opaline dial with Arab numerals in rhodium relief. Even better, in the rose gold version, simplicity takes on a new meaning when encrusted with 186 diamonds. This elegance affirms itself around simple or wraparound bracelets – their colorfulness brings the final touches to absolute refinement.

All the splendor of the Nantucket timepiece is incarnated in a delicately curved case that creates a perfect comfort. Inspired by the iconic anchor chainlink, interchangeable leathers are moored to the wrist and give the piece its precious character. The unique way that the silver opaline steel version captures the light replaces the original 925 silver to once more astonish aficionados of Hermès watches.
