Givenchy is one of the big names in Parisian fashion – designer and friend of Audrey Hepburn, the original artist Hubert developed ultra-refined and mysterious collections with aristocratic lines. And so, perhaps to incarnate or rather capture the mystery of Givenchy’s creations, Ricardo Tisci has added an oversized agate stone to several of these looks. Then come the mini-frilled polka dot dresses like a kaleidoscopic odyssey.
Lightly enveloped in silky fabric, Tisci’s Givenchy beauties go forth in dresses that unite concentric shapes and colorful stripes. In pink, black, and red, Givenchy’s jubilation becomes all the more subtle when Tisci declares: “This is a botanical collection that talks about nature and the moon. The collection shows nature inherited from geometry, as if we were observing nature from another planet.” That same geometry is sure to be found on this dress that would have no doubt pleased the brand’s founder, an aficionado of pure and sophisticated lines.
