At first glance, you may notice a certain elegance. Closer up, you’ll see the mythical signature. The name might not be a household one yet: the Berline, a new obsession entered into the Hermès Family in fall 2011. For the Spring/Summer 2013, the bag is being released in a mini version. It has already shown up on runways in between crocodile skin, print foulards, and the fluid blouses and pants that are so dear to the brand.

This season, the shoulder strap is getting thinner and longer, offering a more laid back carrying experience that still remains just as distinguished. The fastener and carabiners have preserved their original size. Its inspiration may be more sporty, but the padded leather gives the Berline Mini a decidedly utility belt-esque allure. Made of veal leather, it takes on a captivating, intriguing, and nomadic aura making for an urban sporty style. Through this creation, available in six different colors from mouse grey to salmon pink, Hermès is leaning towards the essential: the French leather goods empire  is chanting its sacred hymns with a perfection that once again brings chic to the next level.

Through its shape, colors, wearability, and spirit, still mixing classic and modern, the Berline is incontestably the emblem of Hermès spring campaign, spearheading the definition of elegance à la française.
