Watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre has knit a tight bond with the filmmaking industry over the last 10 years. A fervent fan of cinema, the brand has supported this art like none other. It’s no surprise then to see that the Venice Film Festival served as the backdrop for the legendary Reverso watch’s 85th anniversary celebration.
On the program for the September 6th soirée: a gala dinner at the Venice Arsenal. Daniel Riedo, CEO of Jaeger-LeCoultre, hosted over 200 invitees including Sonia Bergamasco, Daniel Brühl, Jorge Viladoms, Eva Riccobono, Chiara Mastroianni, Gemma Arterton, Nelly Karim, and Christian Louboutin as the guest of honor.
Created in 1931, the Reverso would soon become emblematic. It’s within a cabaret atmosphere, inspired by the timepiece’s own Art Deco style, that the event took place. To recreate the festive ambiance of the era, a number of different acts punctuated the event, while artist Jorge Viladoms, a friend of the brand, regaled the guests with a few piano pieces. Finally, the Reverso’s 85th anniversary celebration was also the occasion to present the Reverso watch collection: One, Classic, and Tribute styles… but especially in the spotlight were new creations from the Reverso by Christian Louboutin line. With Couture bracelets created by Christian Louboutin to adorn the Reverso One Haute Joaillerie watch, these are no doubt sumptuous and highly desirable pieces.
