For the first time, the Printemps department store is organizing a festival to celebrate the arrival of the new season with music and art!
On March 19 and 20 2022, the historic department store Printemps is getting a makeover and celebrating the arrival of the new season with the Spring Festival. This major cultural event can be found in all Printemps stores in France. In Paris, in the emblematic Printemps Haussmann store, a show by Eddy de Pretto awaited the public.

The department store, which has revolutionized the way fashion is displayed, notes: “Gathering live music, artistic happenings, musical events, workshops and food trucks, the event will take place in all Printemps stores. Open free to the public, for 7 to 107 year olds, the first festival of the season will celebrate the arrival of the first spring days with joy, and will be renewed each year. Everything starts with each other in Spring…”
Revealing a bit more of the program for this weekend of festivity, Printemps details:
“In Paris, rue de Caumartin and rue de Provence, the intersection between the three Printemps Haussmann buildings, will be privatized on Saturday and Sunday between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m., allowing you to move around freely to discover a extensive and unexpected program. From 10 a.m., playgrounds and entertainment are on the agenda: basketball tournaments, claw machines with winning goodies, or even an XXL fresco to paint with the artist Valentin Guillon between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m.

A vibrant atmosphere accentuated by the performances of Paris Cheers and its cheerleaders crew. On the food side, food courts are available for eating and drinking: Babka Zana, the famous artisan bakery and its delicious traditional pastries, Gomi and its Mediterranean specialties, Just Donut’s with its gourmet palette for donuts, Miss Bánh Mì and its small “wheat bread” with marinated meat and fresh vegetables, raw or roasted, or Wild and the Moon and its detox and organic cold-pressed juices and Laïzé with its variations around tea, hot or iced.”
Thus rocked by a cutting-edge musical program featuring Eddy de Pretto, on saturday at 6 p.m., and Lous and The Yakuza, Belgian-Congolese rapper and model on Sunday 20 at 5 p.m…. The event promises to be the new unmissable event of the season!
And since it all indeed starts at Printemps, Icon-Icon has selected three beautiful books to better understand the cultural importance and historical impact of the Parisian department store!
