Prada Minimalism: Deconstructed Elegance For SS 22

For next season, Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons have made the brand’s signature minimalism a cornerstone of a wardrobe that deconstructs elegance to better underline sensuality.

Prada Minimalism: Subtle Sensuality

Presented in Milan and Shanghai simultaneously, the Prada collection of Spring/Summer 2022 has turned over more than one card. In the heart of Fondazione Prada in Milan, large LED screens were placed around the catwalk to capture the outfit of the Prada women of the next season – from all angles!

There where the duo Raf Simons/Prada that is now in charge of creation, the house is diabolically effective, and this is for sure the subtlety of impeccable cuts, which are always amazing:

“We thought of words like elegant – but this feels so old-fashioned. Really, it’s about a language of seduction that always leads back to the body […]. Using these ideas, these references to historical pieces, this collection is an investigation of what they mean today, what seduction means,” declared Miuccia Prada the creator’s statement during the show.

What was the result? Deconstructed silhouettes featuring Prada’s minimalism dress women with cerebral seduction in the best way. The same name of the Prada collection of Spring/Summer 2022 was dubbed: “Seduction, Stripped Down.“ By reducing clothes to their simplest expression, Prada minimalism once again magnifies the iconic fabrics of Prada and Raf Simons – Duchess satin in particular – to let the gimmicks of sensuality express themselves on simple garments.

Simple tropes of womanhood with bra cups and corsetry boning. Duchess satin sheaths almost discreet until, from the back, the dresses reveal them — once unbuttoned to the lower back, exposes the lingerie… The Subtlety Prada fused with the relaxation of Raf Simons offers for the next season the proposal of a new wardrobe for women – complex-free without being outrageous.
