First presented in spring 2014 for the tasting event LE & with Yannick Alléno, Grand Vintage Rosé 2006 follows in the footsteps of Grand Vintage 2006. Grand Vintage is an original and unique champagne that, with a very particular elegance, brings out all the out-of-the-ordinary character of these special years. Grand Vintage Rosé 2006 thus perfectly incarnates the spirit of Grand Vintages by Moët & Chandon. Values of liberty of interpretation, where it’s allowed to select the most remarkable wines of the year. This is the secret to the individuality of Moët & Chandon vintage.

And this 40th vintage rosé in the brand’s history is indeed a ripe and generous wine, powerful, ample, and warm. On the first notes of biscuit and gingerbread slips the flavor of pitted fruits like cherries, damsons, and prunes completed by vegetal nuances of wild herbs (rosemary), saffron, and dried rose… On the palate, the climax is achieved with a sappy, almost saline finale. It’s an absolutely unique concoction; a complex and mature champagne to be tasted with grace and detachment.
