To unite artisanship, innovation, and creativity, the brand called on Yannick Alléno, a Michelin 3-starred chef, to perfect the gustatory process. The idea is not to compose dishes and pair them with wine but, rather, the contrary, making champagne the chef’s culinary inspiration. To launch this partnership, the bold starred chef has come up with a series of recipes, from debutant to expert level, that can be discovered alongside the line to leave an even better taste in the mouth after this must-see event.
“I want to create a new art de vivre, an art de vivre that restores timeless rules, that gives them a new luster, a new radiance, a new flavor.” Yannick Alléno, with the greatest respect for the nobility of tradition and centuries of savoir-faire united with a constant desire for innovation, will present “Le &” from June 9th to July 9th, 2014 at L’Orangerie, a private property on the Moët & Chandon domain in Épernay, in the company of Moët & Chandon’s “chef des caves”, Benoît Gouez. This four-hand taste experience will be sequenced into four segments with four of the brand’s classics. Moët Impérial will kick off the festivities at a saline counter; the event will continue with a Millésime 2006 paired with a Grand Vintage Collection 1985 that will be unveiled in an open Molteni kitchen especially conceived for the occasion. A Moët & Chandon Grand Vintage 1999 will then lead to the zenith of this orchestration: a Moët Impérial in an apotheosis of sweet notes. All in all, this series of golden harmonies paired with plates with original and subtly chosen flavors will surely surprise the appetites of connoisseurs and amateurs alike.
