The neo-retired Michael Phelps won’t cross the pools for gold anymore. The Homeric trips are over… The US sporting superstar, native from Baltimore, is appearing in his first fashion campaign as the star of latest Louis Vuitton’s ad.The luggage maker is keen on recounting extraordinary or unusual destinies through their “Core Values” advertising campaigns : “Michael Phelps is a sensational champion… This advertising campaign is part of a real desire from the brand to sympathize with icons symbolizing both performance and dedication values” as stated by LVMH.
Famous predecessors of Michael Phelps include Mikhaïl Gorbatchev, Catherine Deneuve, U2’s Bono, Angelina Jolie, Sean Connery, Madonna, Sofia and Francis Ford Coppola, Keith Richards, André Agassi and Steffi Graf, Mohamed Ali… without forgetting the legendary trio : Pelé, Diego Maradona and Zinedine Zidane.
