Born in Paris in 1987, Yann Kebbi is an artist whose talent for drawing developed from a young age. After graduating from the Ăcole Nationale SupĂ©rieure des Arts DĂ©coratifs, he perfected a unique style characterized by quick strokes, broken lines, transparency effects, and the superimposition of spaces and planes. It is this preferred medium, the pencil, that he used to spontaneously and rapidly capture the essence of Vegas!
Through his colorful strokes, Kebbi transports the reader into the boundless atmosphere of Sin City. His first encounter with Las Vegas dates back to 2012, during a âgraphic road tripâ that took him from San Francisco to New York. Ten years later, in April 2022, he returned to Las Vegas for a deeper immersion.
During this stay, Kebbi was immediately struck by the bustling crowds aimlessly wandering along the Strip. He describes Las Vegas as a perpetual motion theater scene, where extremes constantly coexist. Back in his Parisian studio, he began working on his impressions, translating the cityâs unique atmosphere into a series of striking illustrations.
Through his pencil, Kebbi has sculpted Louis Vuittonâs paper to capture the frenzy, contrasts, and very essence of Las Vegasâcreating a graphic work as complex and vibrant as the city itself.
