London Fashion Week… In Paris! Discover the Newsletter from Icon-Icon, For Living Luxury Icons

London Fashion Week. The season of fashion shows in London has started! You cannot attend it? Neither can we! That is why Icon-Icon has prepared a Parisian tour over the icons which are so British… Shall we start?

It is high time to show you these Vivienne Westwood Pirate Boots and to link these icons to the English style — seven-league boots.

The history built with the London Fashion Week spirit that comes off the rim but is exquisitely pure; we shall not forget the Trench Burberry – whose history we know backward – and Alexander McQueen’s scarf tête-de-mort. And to complete the outfit, to resemble Ladi Di, we add a bag Chouchou – the icon known as Lady Dior!

Where shall we go? The direction is 123 Champs-Elysées just to chose Chouchou in the new mega-boutique Dior — with its inconceivable façade resembling its historical place at the Avenue Montaigne! On the other side, we will find the Guerlain shop to buy Rouge G Luxurious Velvet with its hound’s-tooth case — to acquire the English style of your vermilion lips, so much sensual!

The story adored by some Edouard… Edouard VIII, the Prince of Wales, became the Duke of Windsor… and a fan of the Cartier’s uncontestable jewelry. Isn’t it because of it that the jeweler was called “King of Jewelry and The Jewelry King?

Now we are dealing with the family jeweler — Elizabeth I admire him, especially the Halo Tiara that she passed to Elizabeth II, who then gave to Diana and Kate Middleton for her weddings…

Tracing the history of the English royal family and Cartier – Place Vendôme, of course – we always enjoy the destiny of the Love Bracelet. Offered by Cartier to the Duke and the Duchess of Windsor, in other words to the couple, Edouard VIII/Wallis Simpson – who refused it – the bracelet Love de Cartier, according to the legend, was finally offered as a present to their valet.

But it is merely a detail of a brilliant Cartier collection of Wallis Simpson! To know how Cartier owes to Edouard VIII’s love for his wife, it is worth flicking through this nice book.

After such aesthetic emotions, Icon-Icon proposes you pass to the Salon Proust of the Ritz Paris — for a Tea Time so Ritzy, from 14h30 to 18h, proposed by François Perret, the best restaurant Pastry Chef in the world…

For those preferring some English drinks, we go to the Bar Hemingway in the Ritz. There, we are under the influence of the mixology of Coline Field, who is the most famous barman as well as the British citizen. Picasso Martini, Bloody Mary (invented at this place to please Hemingway‘s wife) or Colin Field’s signature: Serenpidity.

On the go, we will take the sweets of the chocolatier, Pierre Marcolini, at 235 Rue St Honoré — and especially the Five o’clock Pleasure. The British tradition is up!

We would like you to taste the most luxurious and original Fish and Chips in Paris. It is in Neso, Guillaume Sanchez’s restaurant with one Michelin star.

The London Fashion Week exists in design and art! Now Icon-Icon proposes you to discover the collection of Paper & Stone de Lady Deirdre Dyson’s carpets, at 12 Rue des Saints-Pères, at the 7th arrondissement.

We pass to the Fondationo Cartier to find the last bucolic variations of the turbulent garden by Damien Hirst — the figurehead of the Young British Artists!

For the most fortunate, we will finish the day at the royal suite of the Plaza Athénée — Aston Martin is of course! Unless we prefer the Rolls-Royces designed especially for The Peninsula Paris Palace… It’s up to you.

No matter rain or shine, here is Icon-Icon’s program for Living Luxury Icons for the period of the London Fashion Week.
