Xavier Niel, head of Free, made the most significant investment in L’Apogée – a super-luxurious refuge of 53 rooms located 200 meters from the Cheval Blanc. Inaugurated last December and only open during the winter season, this 13,000 square meter luxury hotel is warm with intimacy and elegance. Renowned architects Joseph Dirand and India Mahdavi imagined each element of the interior design. Its impeccable contemporary style comes together around a precise goal: to create a guesthouse that’s perfectly adapted to the mountain.

With luxurious Fior di Bosco marble bathrooms and comfortable sofas set up next to fireplaces, everything was thought to harmonize this place and make it the quintessence of contemporary luxury. The use of noble and warm materials contrasts and softens the brightness of the sun shining on the snow. The unique character of each suite gives some of them a terrace, a balcony, or other extraordinary panoramas of the valley’s snowy forests.

Its custom and ultra-refined style can also be found in the kitchen. Opening up on the prestigious snowy landscapes of the legendary Courchevel ski station, Le Comptoir de L’Apogée and chef Jean-Luc Lefrançois pay homage to this land and to France. By offering a menu composed of the best products in the world preserved with the greatest attention, the Bar Ligne with pistachio crust or the apple Châteaubriand and woodland mushroom cromesquis are among the signature dishes to be tasted in this temple of gourmet. Since 90% of this 5 star’s clientele in high season are Russian, L’Apogée had the idea to pay homage to this culture by launching a new menu composed of typical dishes from Russian cuisine. The Zakouski, a caviar-based starter, the seliodka pod chouboi with a base of small pieces of herring, or the Vtaroye are all sure to delight the tastebuds of guests seeking hospitality à la française.
