For Spring 2015, Chanel chose pink to keep the tempo for a brand new cosmetics collection. The color of emotions and eternal femininity, pink is transforming under Chanel’s auspices into a cloud of silky powder. Imagined to tenderize the gaze, to revive the smile, to touch up the cheeks with a breath of freshness, pink is released in an iridescent blush and in a Rouge allure… But it’s when it flirts with transparency that it truly animates itself to make for a healthy glow effect. All in all, the Crescendo blush is a blue-tinged pink with an expressive character, made to be lightly applied with circular motions on the upper cheekbones.
For the lips, Chanel imagined an arabesque harmony: five shades are staged within a pink palette. Three lipsticks, with a golden-nacre coral pink, a straight-up pink, and an intense pink with coppery reflections as well as two lip glosses, released in a soft pink and an intense pink with coral reflections. Each shade of Rouge Allure is a signature, an attitude. But the specificity of Perle de Chanel resides in that it can be used alone or as a top coat, allowing for an infinite variety of different effects. A harmony of luminous and contrasted blushes vie to put women first in a rhapsody concentrated around shades of pink and airily sophisticated makeups… A true Chanel pearl.
