The British hybrid McLaren Artura supercar from Woking, has become a unique work of art created and designed by the British artist, Nat Bowen. As seen in the photos, chromology (colour psychology) is at the heart of this project, alongside the themes of art and future. If you want to discover this unique model, it is exhibited in the ME Dubai Hotel until the 31st of March.
The car is wrapped in a translucent resin pigment which changes in different lights. This creates a unique special effect where the paint reflects and absorbs the colours of the environment, giving the impression that the car is an extension of its environment.

However, this creative vision appears only on the aesthetic parts of the British supercar. There are no changes under the bonnet, the car remains fully equipped with a powerful 671-horsepower plug-in hybrid powertrain consisting of a 3.0 -litre V6 assisted by an electric motor.
Capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.0 seconds and reaching a top speed of 330 km/h, the McLaren Artura can also travel 30km in electric mode. Listed at a over €230,000, the first customers can get it next summer.
“It was an honour to collaborate with McLaren on this concept and to display it in my first exhibition in Dubai. I aimed to create an immersive experience which transports visitors into a meditative state, away from the stresses of everyday life. This is an engaging way to explore and develop our relationship with colour,”Nat Bowen explains.

Without a doubt this Artura which is McLaren’s first ever hyperbaric plug-in hybrid is a turning point in the brand’s history, but also for all supercars in general. With the mass arrival of electric cars, the world’s most beautiful and powerful cars are having to keep up while retaining their standard.
Like McLaren, Ferrari has also moved into the plug-in hybrid space with their new 296 GTB, a 830-horsepower hybrid supercar and one of Artura’s direct competitor. This rivalry is already shaping up to be very close.
