The one for whom “lipstick is makeup that makes one beautiful” is introducing a new way to enjoy his creations. Garavani Valentino had the idea for poppy rouge one day in his box at the Barcelona Opera, where he was attending a show, when the flower baskets grabbed his attention. His very first Rouge creation: a cocktail dress composed around a skirt of tulle roses, dubbed Fiesta. The year was 1959. By today bringing the design for the creations beyond the personal inspiration of the founder, the fashion house has inaugurated a new way of interacting in haute couture. The idea of allowing the blooming of personal touches all while integrating the brand’s patrimony is, for Maria Grazia Chiuri, a value that is universally shared by Valentino’s clientele. Ever since, emphasis has inevitably been placed on personal expression through personalization. The occasion is given to unite the precious Rouge Absolute Signature line with the very popular Rockstud line. The only rule: make the label’s charms your own.

For it is indeed Valentino’s charms that are available to be added or subtracted at will. On shoes, handbags, or small leathergoods, the brand’s codes become the spokesperson for your identity. A selection of symbols or one’s own initials that, upon contact with the delicateness and precision of Valentino style, marvelously complete, or rather adjust the veracity of, an emblematic luxury. Shimmering in metallic gold, the trio of ankle straps on the famous shoe magnify a distressed denim. All of this with a fascinating fluidity.
