The House of Hermès likes to tell stories, its story, through collections, but also with advertising campaigns.
We can see scarves, one gently wrapping model Bette Franke’s body, the other cleverly knotted around her head, spreading like butterfly’s wings – while reminding us the 1001 ways to wear the famous carré Hermès. The shimmering colors of fall subtly blending into the pure winterly white.
“Time on your side”, the latest Hermès campaign under the lens of the well-known French photographer Nathaniel Goldberg, is offering us one of the most magical pictures. Time is not confined anymore, seasons have become yet feminine embellishments for the carré, subliming its elegance and its promises.
With grace and boldness, this cult object created by Robert Dumas is travelling time, without suffering one bit of its effects. And if, on top of its 75 years, the carré has not got a wrinkle and still delights an eclectic public, it’s because it’s not a simple accessory, but a self extension, a second skin.
