Les Twins have been invited to interpret a new variation of Hennessy’s V.S Cognac.
Hennessy V.S Cognac : An Artistic Cognac!
It has now been over ten years since Hennessy started collaborating with international artists, to better reinvent the iconic Hennessy V.S Cognac. Often products of urban culture, these artists give their own unique visions in collaboration with the house’s Master Blender, Renaud Fillioux de Gironde. After Felipe Pantone, JonOne, Shepard Fairey, Os Gemeos, Futura and finally Kaws, it’s the internationally acclaimed Les Twins, Laurent and Larry Bourgeois, who have given their personal touches Hennessy’s emblematic nectar.
Thus, the collaboration materialises under the form of an unheard of dressing as well as through the composition of mixologist Clément Faure’s two novel cocktails.
” Movement is the signature artistic ceation of Les Twins. The precision that is derived from that sense of movement is one of the keys to their success, since, as they say, it’s what creates their “print” when it comes to their creations, their uniqueness. Regarding their inspirations, they are interested in all things urban which is why the collaboration with the House, ancred in that world for years now, seemed obvious.” States Hennessy.
” We can very much put the creation of Hennessy Very Special and an artistic creation side by side; one has to be patient in order to create. Patient in every movement, in timing. It requires a lot of energy.” specifies Laurent, the Twin.
For the blending of this new version of Hennessy’s V.S Cognac, Renaud Fillioux de Gironde’s mastery of the aromas shines once more, thanks to the seven generations of Fillioux knowledge that he has inherited.
After having basked in the history and the values of Hennessy during their stay at Cognac, Les Twins have imagined a new version of the Very Special Cognac. The bottle, or should we say bottles, since the pair have transmitted their signature to two separate designs, retake the fierceness of their dance styles which has convinced everone including Beyoncé. Available as soon as November, this limited edition of Hennessy’s V.S Cognac will be accompanied by two unheard of cocktails.
These cocktails, imagined, as we have said before, by mixologist Clément Faure, will be available for tasting at Magniv, 37 bis rue du Sentier, in Paris’ 2nd Arrondissement (75002). The first, the Hennessy V.S Yellow Dot cocktail banks on strong yet delicates aromas: ” The warmth and bogginess of Hennessy’s V.S Cognac is completed by hints of almond and nutmeg, remind us of French pastries.” explains the house.
The second, dubbed Hennessy V.S Vanilla French offers floral and spiced agents, perfect for putting the Cognac’s flamboyance on a pedestal!
