Guerlain Rouge G Legendary Reds: Intense Reds, Multi-faceted Reds

It’s true that this new collection, released around the name Rouge G Legendary Reds, has all the characteristics of your typical heritage line; by reinterpreting three reds that were directly drawn from the house’s archive, the brand has actually released a part of its history itself.
As, in 1828, when Pierre-François-Pascal Guerlain inagurated his first eponymous store, he also proposed the first lipstick in Guerlain history, followed by the Rouge Impérial Guerlain and, in 1925, by the oh-so-poetically named Roi des Rouges, or “King of Reds”.
So, in 2021, the house offers these same three hypnotic reds, in two finishes that are as elegant as the reds themselves; six reds of legendary glamour in total, derived in matte or glossy finishes.
Yet, there is more chic still; every shade bears the name of its birth year. Thus, we can find three new reds dubbed 1830 Rouge du Tigre (Red of The Tiger), 1870 Rouge Impérial (Imperial Red) and 1925 Roi des Rouges (King Of Reds); Guerlain’s eminently luxurious expertise is read in the details.
Each one is indeed stamped with the bee; Guerlain’s logo since the house was inducted as the official imperial supplier of Napoléon III’s perfumes, and since the creation of the Eau de Cologne Impériale, whose vial was covered in crystal embedded bees.
What of the 2021 Christmas box set, though? Guerlain is especially launching the Ecrin Rouge G Prestige Legendary Bee Edition as a super limited release.
Guerlain noted: “The Parisian embroidery workshop Baqué Molinié has revisited the bee, Guerlain’s iconic symbol, by recerating a red-pearled golden bee, dressed in a red alveola patterned red fishnet.” It goes to show the amount of glamourous details that this very special Legendary Reds box set has to offer!
