Considered synonymous with high quality around the world, Grey Goose vodka is a 100% French spirit created with simple and noble primary materials. This year, Grey Goose had the explosive idea of installing “La Boulangerie Bleue” in a sublime 4m² vintage truck, the smallest martini bar in the world. On the inside, the mixologist is able to concoct a menu of three different cocktails, perfectly fulfilling the “Shaken not Stirred” mantra. But instead of the “shaken” part, a mixing glass is used to master the ingredients’ temperature and obtain an inimitable result, delivering a fresh and flavorful cocktail in the meanwhile.
That’s how the mythic martini scored spots for the 2015 Festival de Cannes. La Boulangerie Bleue set up shop right on the piers of Cannes, just minutes away from the Palais des Festivals. The martini has indeed left its mark on cinema: Cary Grant et Humphrey Bogart appreciated it just as much as 007 does. “The martini is an emblematic cocktail, a sort of legend in the alcohol world, because we don’t know its exact origins. It’s the star of cocktails with a glass made just for it,” explains Claudio Bedini, Grey Goose’s Brand Ambassador. While martinis are usually made with gin and a splash of dry vermouth, James Bond liked to put vodka in his. “Ian Flemming appreciated the martini. James Bond popularized the cocktail,” Claudio Bedini sums up.
After conquering Deauville and Cannes, La Boulangerie Bleue made its way up to Paris to the rooftop of the Théâtre du Châtelet where, from May 21st to the 23rd, 2015, the tiny bar brought this exceptional experience to Parisians. It’s an intimate cocktail bar that only fits two people to admire bartender Claudio’s skill and undertake a journey into a world of flavor along with him. For those who aren’t lucky enough to have tasted Grey Goose, it can be sampled in the most prestigious bars and hotels of the French Riviera, mixed with a tantalizing array of fruit to satisfy the most demanding of palates. “Obtaining the best ingredients, and letting quality speak for itself,” is Grey Goose’s philosophy according to cellar master François Thibault.
