Exclusive perfumes uncover themselves here as olfactive dresses to dress up the personality of an upscale, unique, and scarce fragrance.

SPECIAL Exclusive Perfumes: Scarce perfumes for Luxury Houses

The perfume industry has its own icons and exclusives. Scents are made out of rare organic materials or on the contrary, bold juices that use the latest chemistry advances to make sense of olfactive memories.
Exclusive perfumes are similar to olfactive dresses that seal the memory, the appearance, and a person’s presence.

Here Icon-Icon gathers luxury perfumes – scarce fragrances formulated by the greatest perfumers for prestigious houses.

Let us open this selection with Dior. The House, whose founder liked the idea of “the perfume of a lady says more about her than her writing”, offers a myriad of exclusive perfumes.

Here, we pick the Jasmin des Anges perfumes. A rare and divine fragrance whose scent was formulated by the nose François Demachy. Jasmin des Anges is “a walk in the jasmine fields at Grasse, where the aromas invade the air.”

Another it-fragrance that prints sensual accents on olfactive memory: the Balade Sauvage perfume took inspiration from the italian island of Panarea.

Inside the Dioramas range, François Demachy invents a genderless perfume – a formula like a Dior appearance that distillates the elegance of Montaigne Avenue. “Feminine or masculine? Bois d’Argent won’t choose: it is a white shirt worn by whoever wants to wear it. A Dior silhouette accompanied by an iconic hypersensitive trail.
This perfume carries the elegance of an absolute iris that blends in with sensual musks and is dipped into mysterious smoke. It is a contrasting composition that plays on a noble floral, a soft and tense softness» describes François Demachy, the Perfumer-Creator Dior.

The House of Dior is also oriented toward the East. With Tobacolor, Dior blows a scent between hot and cold that combines the smells of embers of a hookah with the freshness of fruity notes! A rare oriental fragrance, which releases powerful notes of smoke, intoxicating.

Let us close this Dior selection with the DiorAmour perfume. A sensual fragrance, persisting, heady like the loving feeling. The encounter of scents of delicate iridescent notes and animal jasmine!

In the olfactory repertoire of the prestigious Hermès House, we find The Hermessence Collection. A collection of exclusive perfumes where, with nobility, the quintessence of Hermès’ allure and impeccable know-how is distilled!
The values of heritage and craftsmanship are the beating heart of the Hermès House, as much as poetry and refinement ever outrageous. The nose Jean-Claude Ellena and then Christine Nagel have composed Hermessence perfumes as olfactory poems guided by the creative freedom of this unusual house.

Throughout history, Chanel always has formulated exclusive fragrances and enclosed in graphic bottles the codes of the founder Coco Chanel. Here we select the perfume The Lion, the totem animal of Coco Chanel, in reference to its zodiac sign. Bold and majestic, like Coco, this perfume adorns the trail with powerful amber notes of labdanum and patchouli, softened by vanilla and bergamot.

From the same collection stands the Sycomore fragrance by Chanel. Imagined by Gabrielle Chanel herself in 1930, it reveals the smoked scent of vetiver, cedar and vanilla notes. This elegant perfume borrows its name from the sycomore tree, this gigantic tree that inspired autumnal nobility.

At Louis Vuitton, perfumes are so exclusive that they are sold in very few stores around the world. For this focus on exclusive perfumes, Icon-Icon selected City Of Stars, Meteora, Immensity, and Afternoon Swim… So many bright, solar fragrances made of beautiful and rare emotions!

The first, City of Stars, is a recall of Los Angeles, while the second, Météore has a magnetic name, evoking force and light. Immensité is an ode to the striking freshness that provides the view of a tremendous horizon, pointing to the sky. Finally, Afternoon Swim is a solar Cologne that ennobles a scarce Sicilian orange. Every single one of those fragrances is the creation of the poetic perfumer Jacques Cavallier Belletrud.

As a newcomer into the literary range of exclusive perfumes, Bois Dormant is an olfactive ode to the art of Saville Row’s tailor suits. It combines identity quest, aesthetic, leather, British flannel, Cologne, vinyl records, and youth.

The perfumer Kilian Paris finds its place in this focus with two spellbinding scents, Sacred Wood and Rose Oud. “Ten years ago, Calice Becker and I launched these two perfumes. Today, I’m glad about it”.

Sacred Wood and Rose Oud are almost mystical perfumes rooted in nature and wood. “Sacred Wood is a fragrance paying tribute to Sandalwood of Mysore. Now forbidden in perfumery and reserved for temples – Indian sandalwood with the specific characteristic of having a warm milky facet. Meanwhile, Rose Oud celebrates a firework display of wood and spices that comes alive around an incandescent Rose. Those creations share a significant ingredient, Bois de Cèdre, from protected tree species from the Atlas Mountains in Morocco, mixed with a matrix of resinous notes.” Kilian Hennessy told us during an interview in the framework of the house’s 15th anniversary.

At Dries Van Noten, the launch of the first perfume collection offers an unexcpeted dive into traditionnal perfumery. We can say that these waters are highly inspired of his own vision of fabric, colors and prints.

Thus, we keep in mind Rosa Carnivore, a composition of rose and vetiver, created by Daphné Buguey, nose at Dries Van Noten. “It is nature: unfiltered with all of its small flaws this rose is not romantic. It is strangely stunning, genuine, imperfect, and ambiguous”.

Santal Greenery is a fragrance around figs and sandalwood. Imagined by Nisrine Grillie, it is “the union of two opposites, yet perfectly and poetically balanced: the resistant sandalwood with the green and living leaf of the fig tree – the eternal and the ephemeral together”.

Rock The Myrrhe is another intense and incredibly chic fragrance of Dries Van Noten. Once uncapped, it frees a breeze of myrrh and smoked wood. «Inspired by the Parisian store, its elegant, precious textures, and its electric and mystical atmosphere, an overdose of myrrh is met by benzoin resin and cist, styled by cypresses and pink pepper » confessed Amélie Jacquin.

In the framework of its 30th anniversary, Mugler’s Angel perfume reinvents itself in an exclusive vision. The occasion to highlight the sweet and sensual energy of one of the flagship fragrances of contemporary perfumery. In its mind, fashion and perfume are the art of metamorphosis, and Angel embodies this vision. The Angel Eau de Parfum reveals his personality, gives confidence, and provides the courage to embrace the pleasure of his own individuality.
