Here is a new one-off presented by the Maranello firm, created by the Ferrari Special Projects Department, a department able to give life to a unique Ferrari for those who would not be satisfied with a Ferrari sold for “everyone”.
This model is based on the supercar of the brand, the F8 Tributo, from which the platform and the engine ae taken. La SP48 Unica is a two-seater coupe, with an absolutely remarkable aesthetic work that makes it one of the most beautiful modern Ferrari.
What characterises the SP48 Unica from the start is its tight lines, with a completely redesigned front that can be reminiscent of the Roma. The tip of the nose descends towards the grille, while the air intakes on the sides create a three-dimensional design guiding the eye towards the centre of the front face. The design of the lights is also new, with horizontality, as can be the optics of the SF90 Stradale.
A black element splits the roof into two parts and the side windows narrow towards the rear, giving a dynamic appearance to the car. The sides have been modified, with very angular lines and revised air intakes. The air intakes are smaller than those of the F8 Tributo. The rear side is also new, with very fine optics joined by a shiny black headband, very fashionable at the moment on modern sports cars.
The interior of the Ferrari SP48 Unica does not appear in the photos, we simply know that it does not differ from that of the F8 in terms of the layout of the elements. On the other hand, the materials used must undoubtedly be even more noble than aboard an F8 Tributo.
For the engine, nothing changes, it is the 3.9-litre twin-turbo V8 of the F8. It develops 720 horsepower and 770 Nm of torque. The 0 to 100 km/h is announced in 2.9 seconds, the 0 to 200 km/h in 7.8 seconds and the maximum speed exceeds 340 km/h.
